As Charlie watched with a feeling of deja vu, Ross parked, jumped out and approached.  He had some papers in his hand.

“I’ve come for my horses.” He looked over to the corral as he slapped his thigh with the registration papers on her two horses, Cayenne and Concho.

“What do you mean your horses?”  Charlie’s face flushed and she clenched her fists.

“These two horses are registered with the American Quarter Horse Association in my name.  Notice it says that right here on these papers?”  He waved the papers in her face.  “I’ve decided that I want to take them back.” Ross looked over his shoulder at the Sheriff, who had exited his car and was advancing toward them.   A Deputy positioned himself near the squad car.
